Many presentations have multiple delivery methods: live in a meeting
room, e-mailed to others after the presentation, live via web meeting
technology, and watched in video format on the web. Each
format has unique requirements that presenters need to take into
account.
I get many questions from presenters who have to start using web
presentations because of travel budget cuts, the latest healths care or
because their attendees are noe scattered across the country or the
world. So I created a traning video that explains how to
create and deliver an effective web presentation using WebEx,
GoToMeeting, Live Meeting or any of the other web meeting services.
Here's a preview of the video and you can get all the details and
purchase it here.
I also deliver
conference or workshop programs that cover how
presenters can effectively deliver their presentation in these
different formats. Here are some of the program descriptions:
Creating Presentations for more than the conference room
The life of a presentation today extends well beyond the actual time of
the live presentation. There are those who will be sent the
presentation by e-mail, those who will watch it via the web (live or
later) and those who will view it on their mobile device.
Each of these mediums has different requirements to be
successful. But you don’t have time to create multiple
versions of your presentation. In this session, you’ll learn
what you need to do in order to make one presentation file work well in
all situations. You’ll see how to include the additional
information that those who view the presentation after the fact need in
order to fully understand your message.
Converting your presentation to video for distribution
to others
Instead of simply sending your presentation slides by e-mail, it would
often be better to create a video of the slides with your voice adding
an audio track for the message. You may think that this
requires special video editing software and advanced
knowledge. In reality, you can probably accomplish it with
the system you already have. This session will show you how
to use different software and hardware to create a video of your
presentation and discuss how to distribute it to others.
What you need to know about delivering an effective web
presentation
More presentations are being delivered over web based services to cut
down on travel time and cost. Do you need to design or
deliver a presentation over the web any differently than a live
presentation? You bet you do! This session will
teach you how to avoid two features of PowerPoint that look awful when
presented over the web, one trick to use to make your presentation seem
like you are in the room with every participant, and a host of other
tips to make your web based presentations successful. See the
presentation from the audience’s point of view as we will set up a
webcast in the room.
