Thanks for your support over the years. "Guide to PowerPoint" Book Launch After two years of work, I am pleased to share that the book I have been working on for Prentice Hall is now available. It is officially a text aimed at MBA and communications students, but it is most valuable for anyone who does business or professional presentations. What is unique about this book is that it combines the best ideas on slide design (i.e. "what" should be on your slides and "why") with clear instructions on how to create your slides (the "how to do it" piece). We don't go into detail on all the features you will never use, we focus on only the information you need to make high-impact business presentations. That's why this book will be used at the Wall Street Journal's #1 ranked MBA program starting this fall. As I have shared with others, my editor and co-author, Professor Mary Munter, forced me to take my game to a new level. When you are asked to author an academic text, the expectations are much higher than I imagined. So what we created is better than anything I have done before. That's why I have retired all of my previous books except the quick start guide. This book is that good. But I knew that experienced presenters would want even more once they read "Guide to PowerPoint". There were some ideas that were too advanced for the students in the target market, so after the book went to print last month, I spent hours capturing 26 of my latest innovative techniques that allow presenters to customize their presentations like never before. And I created a companion e- book called "Guide to Advanced PowerPoint Techniques". You can learn more about the books on my web site at http://www.ThinkOutsideTheSlide.com/guidetoppt.htm . I negotiated a price for my customers that is lower than what you can buy it on Amazon for, and my advanced techniques book is only available on my web site. This book makes an excellent reference book for staff joining your organization or as a learning resource for sales or professional staff. E-mail me for bulk pricing information. This book will be the key reference material in all of my future seminars and workshops. I hope you enjoy the book and I look forward to hearing your reviews. My large order with Prentice Hall has been placed and the books are on a truck as you read this and I expect to have them any day now. Your order will be shipped as soon as I get the books in my hands.
