Conference & Meeting Presentations on Communicating Effectively Using PowerPoint

My many conference sessions have been highly rated because I pack a lot of value into a typical 60 or 90 minute session.  Whether it is a keynote or concurrent format, I have designed topics that will give your attendees actionable information they can implement right away.  Here are some of the attendee evaluations from major conferences I have spoken at:

Here are the topics and descriptions that work best at conferences:

Communicate Effectively with Persuasive Visuals
Audiences don’t want presenters to read text off their slides or use confusing overloaded slides.  This session will show you a five-step method for creating persuasive PowerPoint visuals that allow you to effectively communicate your message.  You will see examples of slide makeovers and you will walk out being able to apply these ideas to your own presentations.

25 Tips to Improve the Effectiveness of Your Presentations
You can improve the effectiveness of every presentation by implementing the tips in this session.  You will learn ideas on: structuring your presentation so it is easily understood, sequencing your content for maximum retention, creating visuals that are more powerful than text and delivering your presentation with the polish of the pros.  Walk out knowing that your next presentation will be even more effective than your previous presentations.

Creating Presentations for more than the conference room
The life of a presentation today extends well beyond the actual time of the live presentation.  There are those who will be sent the presentation by e-mail, those who will watch it via the web (live or later) and those who will view it on their mobile device.  Each of these mediums has different requirements to be successful.  But you don’t have time to create multiple versions of your presentation.  In this session, you’ll learn what you need to do in order to make one presentation file work well in all situations.  You’ll see how to include the additional information that those who view the presentation after the fact need in order to fully understand your message.

The success of your presentation is determined before you get up to speak
Most successful or unsuccessful presentations are caused by what was or was not done before the presentation even started.  This session will review the key items in the areas of presentation structure, visual support, delivery and room setup that you must consider in order to give your presentation the best chance for success.  You will leave with checklists to use in your own presentations.

Converting your presentation to video for distribution to others
Instead of simply sending your presentation slides by e-mail, it would often be better to create a video of the slides with your voice adding an audio track for the message.  You may think that this requires special video editing software and advanced knowledge.  In reality, you can probably accomplish it with the system you already have.  This session will show you how to use different software and hardware to create a video of your presentation and discuss how to distribute it to others.
