He has authored numerous books, e-books, videos, articles and special reports. Every two weeks Dave sends out another issue of his PowerPoint Tips e-newsletter. In Dave's presentations, he expands on his two key beliefs about effective communication. First, that the audience is more important than the slides or the presenter, and second, that clear communication is more important than “cool” technology. This leads him to share techniques that allow presenters to create audience-focused presentations that are clearly understood and acted upon. Dave has been elected to the National Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) and awarded the CAPS President's Award for Distinguished Service in 2003. He holds an MBA from The Amos Tuck Business School at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire (1991) and a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from University of Toronto (1987).
