Extended Bio Dave
Paradi is the author of “The Visual Slide Revolution”,
selected as one of the Top 10 Business Books of 2008 by The Globe and
Mail and he is the co-author of two "Guide to PowerPoint" MBA-level
textbooks. The National Post called Dave a “presentation training
guru” the Globe and Mail described his latest book as “a
very strong book in an area where most of us are very weak” and
Tony Ramos referred to Dave as a “PowerPoint rock star”.
He helps presenters make their PowerPoint presentations
sell ideas, products or services more effectively to professionals and
executives. His research based PowerPoint Presentation
Effectiveness System fills the void between presentation skills
training and technical skills training for any professional who sells
ideas, products or services.
Since 1999, Dave has been speaking
professionally to audiences in Canada and the United States. In
addition to the books he has authored, Dave has also written over 45
articles and over 165 issues of his PowerPoint Tips e-newsletter.
He also produces a bi-weekly video podcast distributed through the
iTunes store and his YouTube channel.
In Dave's presentations,
he addresses the key complaint of audiences – too much text that
is simply read by the presenter. He shares his five-step method
for transforming overloaded text slides into persuasive
presentations. This equips presenters to use visuals that
encourage a conversation with the audience leading to better
understanding and action by decision-makers.
